At this time we will roll out two changes to Heartcore APIs to enhance security.
1. Firewall Rules
Traffic to all Heartcore APIs will have additional managed rules enabled to block potentially malicious traffic earlier in the request lifecycle.
We have tuned these rules in an effort to eliminate false positives, and therefore we expect they will largely not affect customers legitimately using the service.
In order to minimize the chance that traffic from your applications is blocked, please ensure they send only necessary data with requests. Non-standard HTTP headers (other than those outlined in the documentation) are prone to being blocked.
2. Disabling MIME Sniffing
After this maintenance, requests to media.umbraco.io will additionally return an X-Content-Type-Options header with a value of 'nosniff'. This may result in some edge-case behaviour changes where a browser may have previously attempted to treat a file differently from the type that Heartcore believes it to be.
